The Alexamenos Graffito. The earliest depiction of the slain philosopher, Jesus Christ. 3rd century CE. Jesus Christ is crucified and he has the head of a donkey. There is a boy gesturing towards the dead Christ. The inscription reads, " Alexamenos worships his god. " Rome, Italia. (ancient Italy).
